Agenda
*Times are listed in BST. The agenda and order of the sessions are subject to change.
1.35pm | Panel: Shorting, carbon footprinting, reporting: key challenges in implementation
The panel explored how investment managers are approaching key questions relating to the practical integration of responsible investment. It explored their approach to short positions, how firms approach carbon footprinting, and addressed data and reporting challenges. This panel is no longer available for playback.
3.30pm | Winds of change: What to expect from a new US administration
The session will be in two main segments. The first will ‘set the scene’ and cover the most recent and pertinent updates pertaining to ESG in the US. This will include federal government level changes and how the executive order will impact the regulatory environment in particular – including the SEC, the Fed, DoL amongst others. The second segment will move into what this government and regulatory environment actually means for the industry through a more practical lens – what challenges remain, what has worked well and what more is needed. This section will also discuss how investors in the US are shaping ESG.
4.00pm | Panel: Engagement and the role of external standards
This panel will bring together investment managers and allocators to explore approaches to engagement with issuers, collaboration platforms and the role of external standards (such as SDGs and PRI membership). It will also explore the potential of industry associations, including AIMA, to support the development of new approaches to responsible investment.
